Front Desk Supervisor

As a Front Desk Supervisor, you will provide exceptional guest services by upholding high service standards while providing prompt, courteous service at all times. Provide administrative support to the Manager Team when needed.
This is a full-time seasonal position, with hours varying between day, evening, and split shifts.
Successful candidate will have open availability to accommodate a varied schedule. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Enthusiastically welcoming guests
• Provide the essential functions of checking a guest in/out
• Attending to Guests’ special requests
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Demonstrated superior customer service standards
• Assuring the cash and reconciling credit/debit balance at the beginning/end of shift
• Provide information on the hotel and the community and activities in the area.
• Performs functions of Night ends
• Promoting and selling the different room types, while representing the hotel in a professional and responsible manner
• Answering the switchboard and directing calls as requested
• Taking guest room and outlet reservations upon request
• Maintaining an up to date guest history and reconciling guest folios upon check out
• Answer emails daily
• Maintaining an organized and effective front desk work area
* Knowledge of Yield Management a must
* Experience in front desk operations for at least 3 years
• Communication with the Housekeeping and Serving staff on the day to day operations
* Helping Housekeeping or other departments when needed
Other duties required of Front Desk Agent Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
• Must have flexible availability including days, overnight, weekends and statutory holidays as required
• Ability to multi task in a busy environment and demonstrate initiative and leadership
• Previous customer service experience required
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, multi-functional team environment
• Advanced computer knowledge
• Experience with working in Lodge environments preferred
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Self-motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills required
• Demonstrated superior customer service standards required
• Personal alignment with Heather Mountain Lodge core values and culture required
• Understands/speaks a second language an asset
Other job requirements:
• Ability to direct guests to the Restaurant and take evening reservations
• Provide support to the restaurant and daily communication with the Dining Room Supervisor and other serving staff when required.
